Plants as Art – String Garden

String Gardens

There is something completely magical and ethereal about these incredible plant installations created by Dutch artist Fedor Van der Valk of String Gardens. They’re inspired by the Japanese ‘Kodema,’ which literally translates to moss ball. I am so captivated by these installations and am itching to try to grow one of my own, maybe with rosemary? We’ll see. I do find it rather hilarious that I’m discovering this now after doing my hanging orchid DIY project a few weeks ago!

After a little digging around I did find a tutorial on YouTube so may try that out this weekend. Am also thrilled as I recently discovered that I can buy live moss on Amazon, which has been a bit tricky to find locally.  (I also have a few ideas for Christmas gifts that I’d need some moss for – it seems to be the theme.)
