Decorate for Christmas with Live Moss

What I love the most about decorating with moss is its versatility. It really is a canvas on which pretty much anything can be built. Whether your preference is for structured contemporary design, the simplicity & natural touch of the Scandinavian aesthetic or for traditional formality, the possibilities for using moss as a styling tool extend far beyond the terrarium. As I mentioned in a previous post, I’ve had a little trouble finding moss locally, but it is available online in various forms.

I love this idea to spray paint some plastic animals white & create a little diorama in a flat dish or tray. This would also be great with a little rosemary tree.

I love the eclectic simplicity of this centre piece – the mix of old silverware with natural chunks of wood is fab.

This is so similar to the design of the image above. Just removing the silverware changes the whole dynamic. Glass cloche’s such as those above are so useful. I found some online here.

This is a lovely take on the traditional. The white branches freshen it up & make it a little more contemporary

And something a little more rustic. Using moss as a table runner is a lovely idea.

Moss letters! I’ve had my eye on these metal monogram cork holders & think that they’d be great stuffed with moss, however I would prefer a sans serif version!
